But then it is Delhi University, so something has to be different. Delhi University is well known for its Fest Season. The fest season of Delhi University starts in even semester i.e. it starts in the month of December and lasts till the month of March. Every year, different colleges organises unique fests at their campuses, providing platforms to students to showcase their talent and for others to witness some of the best performances of students. Last but not the least, the most important part for which the students wait for the whole year, THE STAR NIGHT, where every year a celebrity comes to perform in front of the students.
So here we will tell you about some top college fests of Delhi University that should be in your bucket list for the upcoming year.

Crossroads, Shri Ram College of Commerce

When it comes to best DU Fests, Crossroads organised by SRCC is on our top list. Crossroads is a largest cultural fest of DU that sees a footfall of more than 10,000 people a day. It is a 3 day event which showcases some of the best talents of DU followed by a performance of some celebrity in the evening. This year, we saw some exciting and thrilled performances by DJ Chetas, Emcee Namrata, The Local Train and Salim Sulaiman and we are already looking forward for the Crossroads 2020.

Mecca, Hindu College

Talking about top DU fests, then there is Mecca- The Annual Cultural Fest of Hindu College in our list. The stage settings, the lightings, the atmosphere that here is, is as the way it is supposed to be. Mecca is also a day event which is not supposed to be missed. This year, Mecca saw some enthralling performances by Progressive Brothers, Papon and Vishal Shekhar.

Confluence, Hansraj College

The next fest on our list which ought not to be missed is Confluence by Hansraj College. You name it, and Confluence will give you that. Be it the fun night at EDM or the mesmerizing and poetic aura of Sufi. You will find everything here. Confluence 2019, on one hand saw famous artists like Nizami Brothers who took everyone to an amazing journey of sufi songs and on the other hand, the other night was marked by full on masti and bhangra, when audience was dancing on the songs of Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai. We are already looking for what Confluence 2020 has in store for us.

Reverie, Gargi College

The Annual Cultural Fest of Gargi College is exactly as it name suggests, an experience which can make you feel like lost in a pleasant dream . The fest is always as Grandeur as it could be imagined. The artist that amazed the audience with their mesmerizing performance this year were The Local Train, Prateek Kuhad and Dj Zaeden and with this we are eagerly waiting for Reverie 2020.

Nexus, Sri Venkateshwara College

Sri Venkateshwara College besides being number one college of South Campus, is also known for its Amazing Fest- Nexus. Be it the artists that come to this fest or the hard work that the students here do for the fest, everything is nothing more that we could expect. As always, this year also saw some amazing artists performing on the grounds of Venkateshwara College. The 3 day event started with The Local Train performing on day 1, with Nooran Sisters performing some soulful songs on Day 2 and ended with Jubin Nautiyal’s splendid performance on Day 3.
