Magadh Mahila College Slips to "B" from "A" in NAAC Grading

Magadh Mahila College, Patna slips to NAAC Grade "B" from "A" this year. Accreditation Organisation gave Grade "B" to the college on the basis of score 2.35 scored during assessment. Earlier in 2013 it got 3.02 score for which it secured "A" grade and also in 2004 it got "B Plus Plus" grade. Due to slip in grade the college funds from UGC and other various organisation will be reduced. 



College was assessed mainly in 7 categories. Out of seven the college secured highest 2.87 in Teaching Learning and Evaluation and lowest 1.18 in Student Support and Progression.

Other categories and their respective scores are 2.12 in research, innovation and extension, 2.72 in infrastructure and learning resources, 2.04 in governance, leadership and management, 2.04 in institutional values and best practices and 1.95 in circular aspects.

Principal, Prof Shashi Sharma told that the college is yet to receive the certification from NAAC. However they have filed objection for low marks during the assessment. The scores of Magadh Mahila College are uploaded by NAAC on its official website. College has submitted IQA July 25 and SSR October 13 last year. College is inspected by the peer team of 3 on March 18 and 19, 2019.

However if any college is not satisfy with their marks can deposit the fees of INR 1,00,000 with in a month for the re-accreditation of college. After that there will be listening on the objections raised on assessment by the team of officials. The last decision will be done by the team. If still college is not satisfy with the grades then it can apply for re-assessment with 1-3 years.
