CU Kashmir Celebrates International Women's Day

Central University of Kashmir's Women Entrepreneurship Cell Celebrated the International Women's Day on Tuesday by holding a Poster making competition at the Green Campus of university.

The students from the university and the neighbouring colleges and university participated in the Competition. The topics were Planet 50-50, Women and Conflict, Voicing the unheard and Gender Balanced World. The theme of the event was based on United Nations' Concept "Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change".

The Vice Chancellor of CUK, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir said Women have played important role in upliftment of society. They have been working equally in all spheres of life and also managing the households. He also highlighted the motive of holding such competition is to provide platform to the students to showcase their hidden talent.

Jury comprised of artists like Arshad Sualeh and Naushad Gayoor. They praised the students and urged them to show their feeling through medium of art.
